Stephanie and Jake were good friends with a few of my past wedding couples. It is nice know they enjoyed my work and recommend me to their friends. We worked right around St. Francis church in Brainerd for most of our photos. After the ceremony we stopped by a mine pit lake just a couple minutes from the reception for a few more shots. Tami Lu from Stage One kept the party going on the dance floor.

Amber and Cory -Breezy Point Resort

Amber and Cory contacted me a week before their wedding. They had talked to each other about planning a larger wedding…but decided to skip all of that and put together a ceremony with a few family and friends with one week of planning. They held the ceremony on a small point on Pelican Lake at Breezy Point Resort. We photographed a few family and wedding party shots and then I spent about 30 minutes with Amber and Cory. We covered a lot of ground in the time we had, and I said goodbye as they headed off to dinner with the group.

Jessica and Brandon -Brainerd

This was my second wedding with the Yaunick family, and next year I will photograph my third wedding when Brandon’s sister gets married. It has been a lot of fun with this family and I am looking forward to seeing everyone again in about 12 months.  The ceremony was held at Brandon’s family home in rural Brainerd. After dinner we all loaded up for a tractor ride to the Green Lantern bar, a few miles from their home, for the dance.

The wedding season is in full swing. I have 7 weddings to photograph over the next 5 weeks. There will be a lot of new work in the coming weeks!

 Jamie and Jerad started off my May with a fun day. We headed over to Gregory Park in Brainerd for family and wedding party photos. I have worked there many times and you can always find a new angle or backdrop to work with. The dance floor at Breezy Point Resort stayed busy and made for some great candids.

Karlee and Matt picked the right year to get married. Valentine’s Day fell on a Saturday this year. They had  a beautiful day and many family and friends to help celebrate their wedding at Lakewood Church in Baxter. The reception followed at the Brainerd Armory.

I was working with familiar faces at Megan and Matt’s wedding in February. I photographed Megan’s sister’s wedding at St. Francis in 2004. Both families were a lot of fun to work with and we had a great time. The reception followed at Breezy Point Resort.

Lauren and Adam -Trinity Lutheran -Brainerd Armory

Lauren and Adam had a beautiful January day for their wedding…a little cold (-10 daytime temp), but clear blue skies. We ventured out for a couple of 5 minute sessions, then back inside to warm up. Lauren told me she enjoys black and white photos and I found that many of my favorites from the day were the BW images. Here are a few of the highlights from the day.
